The greatest triumph of city planning is the Turia River Park. Created on the bed of a redirected river, it provides much-needed shade in a city with an impressive sunshine record. Of course, you can always cool down on the fantastic beaches, lapped by warm Mediterranean waters.
Former hosts of the European Grand Prix, Valencians take their sport seriously and so they should. Try to take in a match at the 75000-seater Valencia FC stadium to experience the electric atmosphere.

A beautiful City, full of culture, superb architecture and fine cuisine. You never have to walk far to find a high quality restaurant. None of the establishments we frequented were more than a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel. I’d particularly recommend Dodo, Puerto del Mar, Espurnes and Secret.

It’s a lovely city, architecture stunning. Enjoyed the hop on hop off city bus tour. Had to walk a fair distance through run down areas before we got to the better part of the old town. Didn’t have time to visit the aquarium - a must for our next visit.

Parc Gulliver was a hit with the kids Turia gardens are lovely Public transport very cheap (40 cents per journey with a SUMA-10 travel card) and plentiful The old town was atmospheric without being twee Felt like a less tourist-choked version of Barcelona We ate paella at La Paz at Playa de las Arenas - very tasty

It is right on the beach and the terrace the perfect place to relax and think about things or get some work done (the WIFI was great). The host was full of tips, jokes and information she even has binoculars so you can people watch down below! The apartment was extremely clean the whole time I was there. The bathroom was quite big and had everything you needed. Even though we didn't use it much, there is a wonderful terrace on the 11th floor with a nice view. The price was quite good compared to the other properties of a similar standard in Valencia.
